The Well follows historical and biblical tradition, by providing a place of meeting and refreshment for the whole community. We also seek to be a place where people of different denominations, and those of none, may encounter and learn from each other.
One of the especially unusual and exciting features of The Well is that it is a united project of all the members of Churches Together in Fareham (CTF). CTF comprises thirteen churches of seven different denominations.
We welcome you not in the name of a particular denomination, but in the name of the living God, who created all things and has shown his love for us in the person of Jesus.
We are located in West Street, which is the main shopping street in Fareham. Click here to see a map of the town centre: we are on the south side of West Street, close to the Kings Road/Osborn Road traffic lights.
The Well is staffed by the paid employees, and over sixty volunteers ranging in age from 14 to 85!
The Well is run by two bodies:
Membership of both bodies is open without charge to all who share our aims; a membership application form is available on request. About half the trustee directors of The Fareham Well Ltd are elected by the membership; the rest are appointed by the churches of Fareham.
