Our vision
The Well is:
- A place where all people are accepted and welcomed.
- A centre where people may find resources for discovering the Christian
faith, spiritual growth, faith-sharing and worship.
- A meeting place and forum for communication, so that the different members
of the Christian community may know one another better and draw closer
together.
- A permanent outlet for fairly-traded goods, in order to promote Christian
values of love, justice and practical concern for the poor.
The Well is a visible sign of Christian unity, in that it does not belong
to any particular denomination, but to all the churches in the town under
the auspices of Churches Together in Fareham.
The focus of The Well is threefold:
- Commercial: not as an end in itself, but as a means to the ends of being
self-supporting, providing resources to the community and promoting fair
trade.
- Fellowship: building bridges between the denominations and showing the
unity of God’s people in Fareham.
- Outreach: sharing the love of Jesus appropriately and sensitively, in word
and in action, with everyone who comes into contact with The Well.
We thank God for his goodness to us, and seek to remain obedient to him
in all he may call us to do.
